Ton & Kirschen - Pulcinella! in Berlin, 28 August 2027

Ton & Kirschen - Pulcinella! is a theatre production on the Überdachte Freiluftbühne at Viktoriastraße 10-18 in Berlin on Saturday, 28 August 2027, at 20:00. Tickets start at EUR 28.50, and a discount is available.

The production centres on Pulcinella, a figure who grew out of Italian folk theatre. In German-speaking regions the figure has counterparts in Hanswurst of the fairground stages and travelling theatres, and in Kasper of hand puppet theatre. The Ton und Kirschen Wandertheater returns to the covered open-air stage of the ufaFabrik in August 2027, after its performance of Georg Büchners "Woyzeck" in the 2026 summer season.

Margarete Biereye and David Johnston direct. Stephen Johnston and David Johnston composed the music.

Daisy Watkiss designed the stage and lighting, and Joséphine Biereye built the masks. The ufaFabrik has been housed since 1979 in the former UFA-Film Kopierwerke premises in Berlin Tempelhof.
