Tucson Symphony Orchestra — Tour Dates & Tickets
The Tucson Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1928 in Tucson, Arizona, and gave its first concert on January 13, 1929, at the Tucson High School auditorium, conducted by Camil Van Hulse and performed by around 60 volunteer musicians. It is regarded as the oldest continuously running performing arts organization in the American Southwest.

About Tucson Symphony Orchestra
The orchestra gained its first full-time, paid conductor, Frederic Balazs, in 1952, and founded the Tucson Symphony Youth Orchestra in 1958. It moved to its current home, the venue now known as the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, in 1971. Jose Luis Gomez became music director in 2016, the orchestra's first Spanish-speaking conductor in that role.
